Working with Our Neighbors: Campus Community Resource Committee

June 3, 2019

UA Government and Community Relations works closely with neighborhoods surrounding the University of Arizona’s Main Campus in Tucson to assure we are being good neighbors. Established in the 1980’s, the Campus Community Relations Committee (CCRC) brings together UA campus partners, the City of Tucson, Banner University Medical Center, City of Tucson Neighborhood Associations, and other community partners to create, promote, and sustain livable communities in and around the university area. The following neighborhood associations, which are recognized by the City of Tucson Department of Neighborhood Resources, are represented on the CCRC:

Over the years, the CCRC has collaborated to solve problems on the edge of campus and in surrounding neighborhoods. Currently, the committee is undertaking a new planning process to expand beyond solving immediate problems and find ways to advance our shared vision.

Committee meetings will continue over the summer and into the fall to develop specific ways we can be partner with our neighbors to address immediate and long-term challenges facing our community. We welcome all ideas and suggestions from UA colleagues who wish to have a partnership with our surrounding neighbors.
