With so many incredible things happening at the UA, GCR wants to be sure Tucson community leaders have the opportunity to learn about them firsthand.  We value our strong community partnerships and want to continue to enhance them, so this year GCR created a new stakeholder engagement event called the Community Partner Breakfast.  Every quarter community leaders from government, business, education, and non-profit sectors, are invited to learn about an exciting area on campus.  The purpose of these breakfasts is to connect UA leaders and community leaders so we can identify new ways for us to work together for the benefit of Arizona.

At the most recent breakfast held last week, Dr. Michael Dake dazzled the group with a fascinating look into the work of UA Health Sciences.  Held in the impressive new Health Sciences Innovation Building, the meeting was a captivating overview of the innovative research and undergraduate and graduate education underway in UA Health Sciences.

The inaugural Community Partner Breakfast was held in March with Dean Shane Burgess at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and focused on our land grant mission and the tremendous benefit that work brings to our state.  The September meeting will be held at the Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill with Dean Joaquin Ruiz.  We look forward to highlighting all colleges over time and helping to spotlight impactful, community-engaged work being done across campus.
